1. Summary

Introducing the NFC management web application, designed to meet the specific needs of my Australian client operating an NFC card business. This project represents a comprehensive solution for efficient NFC card management. It serves as a full-stack React application, empowering me as the developer to create, manage, and monitor NFC cards, while providing customers with a user-friendly interface for linking, redirecting, and updating NFC cards. The application is a testament to my commitment to delivering tailored solutions, and it was developed as a side project to enhance my skills and expertise.

2. Requirements

The core requirements for this NFC management application revolved around streamlining NFC card operations for both administrators and customers. I needed the capability to create, manage, and track NFC cards, while customers required an interface for linking, redirecting, and updating their NFC cards. To fulfill these requirements, I carefully selected a technology stack, which includes React for the frontend, Node.js for the backend, MongoDB as the primary database, and TailwindCSS to ensure a responsive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interface.

3. Solution

The development of the NFC management web application focused on delivering a tailored solution for my client's specific business needs. The frontend was constructed using React and enriched with TailwindCSS, ensuring a responsive and visually pleasing user interface. The design was rooted in intuitiveness, providing a seamless experience for administrators and customers.

On the backend, I harnessed the scalability and real-time capabilities of Node.js, while MongoDB served as the primary database, offering the flexibility required for secure data storage.

The application boasts an extensive feature set, including an Administrator Login page for secure authentication and an Administrator Dashboard for managing existing NFC cards, creating new ones, and tracking visits and clicks for each NFC card. For customers, the application provides three distinct pages: Link a URL, Redirect to URL Prompt, and Update URL, streamlining NFC card management.

Throughout the development process, challenges related to security and data protection were addressed with robust security measures, ensuring the safeguarding of NFC card data.
